Dublin-based independent funeral director Brian McElroy Funeral Directors has taken delivery of its fifth Superior Vito removal vehicle, continuing a long-standing relationship built on quality, reliability and service. The firm, led by Managing Director Brian McElroy with General & Transport Manager Eric McCormack, operates from four locations across Dublin and Kildare, and serves families throughout the surrounding areas.
Since its establishment in 2006, the business has grown from a single-person operation into a respected funeral firm conducting over 1,200 funerals annually, supported by a team of over 30 full-time professionals and dedicated part-time staff. Throughout this growth, the company has maintained a consistent approach to fleet selection, operating an all-Mercedes-Benz line-up including hearses, limousines and Vito removal vehicles.
The latest addition is a high-spec, long-wheelbase Mercedes-Benz Vito, equipped with privacy glass, VIP appointments, and Superior’s ‘Rise&Fall’ decking system. The move to a larger model reflects the firm’s evolving operational needs while maintaining the discreet and dignified presentation families have come to expect.
Eric McCormack, who oversees the fleet, explained: “We’ve built real confidence in the Superior Vito over the years. It’s a vehicle that delivers exactly what we need—professional appearance, ease of use and complete reliability. Moving to the long wheelbase model gives us that extra practicality without compromising on the standards we expect.”
He added, “Families continue to respond very positively to our Vitos. They’re understated, respectful and entirely appropriate for first call duties, which is incredibly important in our line of work.” All the Vitos now in operation sit alongside the firm’s Mercedes-Benz hearses and limousines, ensuring a consistent, premium standard across the entire fleet.
