Highlands-based William T Fraser & Son invest in a second stunning new Mercedes-Benz fleet vehicle from Superior UK

 

William T Fraser & Son, based in Inverness, Scotland, recently took delivery of a brand new black metallic Vito removal vehicle from Superior UK Automotive Ltd – this stunning vehicle perfectly matches the firm’s existing Mercedes-Benz fleet, which includes their showcase PilatoMercedes Polaris hearse.

Director Martin Fraser, who represents the third generation of this independent family business, explains why their new Superior Vito is such an important part of the Fraser fleet

Martin commented, “A removal vehicle is the most important vehicle in any funeral firm’s fleet – we ran a Mercedes R-Class, and although it was still running well, we could not risk breaking down in that critical first call situation.” He added, “We had researched the market for a brand new vehicle, and we were very impressed with the Superior Vito – the exterior is smart and discreet, but the decking system inside is a total game-changer.”

The Fraser Vito from Superior UK comes complete with Superior’s market-leading “Rise&Fall” decking system designed for optimal functionality and use of space – purpose-built for ease of use and a professional first impression.

“Our new Vito has made a huge difference to our business,” said Martin, “we can take up to four people now, which is ideal for hospital mortuaries and cremations and the deck is so well built and adaptable it makes our job so much easier. The hearse-like design and finish also make a reassuring impression on families when called to a loved one’s home.”

Endeavouring to make every aspect of funeral care as easy as possible for families has always been a priority for William T Fraser & Son – even before the Covid pandemic, the firm was one of the first to set up equipment and start live streaming funerals to help families and friends unable to attend funeral services.

Martin commented, “We had seen it done in Australia and felt it was important that we could provide this service – it became a critical resource once Covid took over all of our lives and harsh restrictions were in place. We were ready and able to give families this option to connect and ease the burden of being kept at bay at such a difficult and emotional time.”
