Arthur Peake & Sons, a popular and well-established funeral firm in Cwmbran, South Wales, recently took delivery of a stunning new Pilato Mercedes Polaris hearse. Arthur Peake & Sons have run a Mercedes fleet for the past 25 years – this new Polaris hearse is the latest vehicle from long-term fleet suppliers Superior UK Automotive Ltd.
Kerrie Peake is the fourth generation of the Peake family to run the firm; he follows in the footsteps of his father Donald Peake, grandfather Arthur Peake and great-grandfather (also) Arthur Peake who founded the business over 100 years ago in 1918. Recently, his son Jack and his nephew Jordan have joined the family business and represent the fifth generation at Arthur Peake & Sons.
Kerrie explains why exceptional customer service and beautifully crafted vehicles make Superior the perfect match for their funeral fleet.
“We bought our first Binz limousine from Kevin Smith in 2000 and have stayed with Superior ever since.”, said Kerrie adding, “The service is excellent and the build quality of the vehicles has always been superb.”
When the Peake family decided to add a brand new hearse to their fleet Kerrie called Superiors’ Jon Helm to discuss the Polaris. “We knew it was what we wanted as we had admired it at the last NFE show – Jon listened to our every requirement and from that first discussion to the day of delivery the quality of service was seamless.”
The new Peake Polaris is finished in ‘Ruby Black’ metallic paint with a ‘Panamericana’ grille, hand-stitched leather interior and custom LED signage.
Kerrie commented, “The finish inside and out is incredible; so much space and access for flowers on the deck. When light hits the paintwork you see glimmers of ruby that look fantastic – we have had people approach us just to tell us how beautiful our hearse is.”
He added, “We have always been very particular about our fleet – our Binz hearses and limousines were great vehicles, however, our new Polaris is on another level – every detail is just perfect.”
In 2019, extensive renovations at Arthur Peake & Sons premises saw a 110 seat chapel built to mark the centenary of the firm – further renovations this year will include extending and rebuilding the garages to house their stunning Mercedes fleet.
“We are very proud of our beautiful chapel, our fleet and most importantly our loyal and dedicated team who work tirelessly to provide the very best for the families we serve.”
