Family-run independent funeral directors T Cribb and Sons have served families throughout London and Essex for over 140 years. The Cribb family are passionate about the funeral industry and its history – with expertise gained through five generations they have earned an enviable reputation for high standards and outstanding service.
Founded by Thomas Cribb in 1881, the fourth and fifth generations of the family continue to run the business to this day. Great grandsons Graham and John, John’s daughters Catherine, Sarah and Nichola and Graham’s sons, Jack and Joe, continue the high standards and values set down by the founder.
T Cribb & Sons have a rich history and have always maintained a strong sense of tradition, however, the family are also forward-thinking, encourage progress and embrace new technologies. The Cribb family are the first in the industry to adopt the new Mercedes 66kWh eVito as a respectful, silent, eco-friendly first collection vehicle.
Joe Cribb explains why their new Superior eVito is an exciting step forward. Maintaining a personal and community-driven service, managing members of the Cribb family each work within their areas spanning across London and Essex branches. “We work together to cover each branch with a dedicated family member, I manage the Canvey Island branch close to the Willows cemetery where most burials take place which means journeys can be relatively short in terms of mileage” said Joe, adding “our Superior eVito has proven to be beautifully quiet, smooth and has more than enough range to accommodate – the vehicle rewards you for being a conservative driver so for us, it suits our needs perfectly.”
