Since 1898, Mortons Funeral Directors, a popular and well-respected independent funeral firm, has served the communities of Northfield, Cotteridge and Rubery in Birmingham. The firm has passed down through the generations of two families over its 126 years. The founder, Albert Morton, passed the family-run business first to his son Victor Morton and then to his grandsons Grant and Miles Morton.
Derek Case joined the firm in 1982 and his daughter Sarah Case in 2005. Derek & Sarah purchased the company in 2015 following the retirement of Miles Morton and they continue to uphold the values and traditions of Mortons legacy. When Derek & Sarah recently decided to upgrade their removal vehicles, Superior UK Automotive Ltd’s market-leading, high-specification Vito removal vehicles were the clear choice to suit both the business’s needs and the families the Case family serve. Managing Director Sarah Case explains why a pair of stunning Superior Vitos have become the latest addition to the Mortons fleet.
Sarah commented, “We saw the Vito on Superiors stand at NFE and were very impressed. After contacting Superior’s Greg Platt in May last year, we decided to visit Superior HQ, where Greg and the team were hugely helpful with planning our bespoke storage within the vehicles.”
She added, “We discussed configurations for various stretchers, PPE and other equipment so everything could be carried in one vehicle. Greg helped find solutions to maximise storage and meet our every requirement – the result was two perfect removal vehicles designed to meet the needs of our particular business.”
Just before Christmas, Derek and Sarah were thrilled to take delivery of a matching pair of professionally sign-written Superior Extra Long Vitos with ‘Rise&Fall’ decking. The vehicles both feature exterior VIP appointments, covert LED lighting, VIP interior panelling, upper deck discretion curtains and bespoke storage, including wheeled bier slide-out drawers, scoop stretcher storage shelves and under-deck storage facilities.
