Since 2009, Matthew L Jones Funeral Services in Carmarthenshire, Wales, has supported the funeral profession with vehicle hire, repatriation and transportation services. The firm’s fleet includes five hearses, twelve limousines and three removal vehicles.
The Mathew L Jones team deliver a 24-hour removal service for the funeral industry, conducting around fifty removals per month for funeral directors. The team travels nationwide and, being situated close to ferry ports, also uses the Vitos to repatriate to Ireland. Long-distance travel means that the firm’s removal vehicles clock up serious mileage in a short space of time. Consequently, removal vehicles need to be replaced every four to five years.
Matthew Jones explains why Superior UK Automotive Ltd are his preferred supplier and why it’s all about the decking system.
Matthew commented, “Since meeting the Superior team at NFE many years ago and seeing their Vito decking systems, I now only order Superior Vito’s; I’ve had four in total, and they work extremely hard for my business.”
He added, “You can buy a Vito anywhere; however, the Superior Vito deck is the best system out there. The interior is dignified and professionally finished with hearse-like lighting, and the deck systems are durable and operate smoothly. The exterior looks more like an MPV with blacked-out windows and not a panel van, which is important when families are there to see a loved one taken into our care.”
Earlier this year, Matthew Jones took delivery of a new Silver low deck Superior Vito with a four-berth “Rise&Fall” decking system primarily for repatriation and hospital/coroner collections and a Black two berth single deck Superior Vito for use on residential removals.
Matthew commented, “Although I ordered two different decks, the nature of both vehicles means they can perform either task. I particularly wanted a metallic silver Vito for long-distance collections and repatriation as they are easier to keep clean; however, Mercedes-Benz discontinued the colour I wanted – I was thrilled when Superior’s Jon Helm managed to source one for us.”
He added, “Jon always goes above and beyond – we bent a ramp, and Jon was quick to replace and repair it; we needed extra straps, and they were posted out the same day – we can’t fault the service.”
