Superior UK delivers again with a new Pilato Mercedes fleet for Jonathan Terry

Jonathan Terry Independent Funeral Directors are the proud owners of a stunning new Pilato Mercedes fleet, having recently taken delivery of a new Polaris hearse and two matching Lyra limousines from Superior UK Automotive Ltd.

Jonathan Terry, founder and owner of the Southampton-based firm, is delighted with his most recent investment.  With over 36 years of industry experience, Jonathan knows well that to maintain high standards and deliver the very best service, reinvesting in premises, staff and vehicles is key.

Jonathan joined the industry at just 16 years old and spent 12 years working for other firms before deciding to set up a business of his own. In 1998 Jonathan opened his first branch on Peartree Avenue in Southampton and then opened a second branch on College Place in 2008.

Jonathan explains, “We have always maintained a beautiful fleet of vehicles, we had Daimler DS420’s at first then changed to Mercedes and we have run them ever since”, he added, “our new Pilato vehicles are exquisite, we love the shape and style of the cars, they are modern, well designed and well built – just stunning!”.

This is not the first time Jonathan Terry has trusted Superior UK to supply a brand new fleet of vehicles.  In 2012 Kevin Smith, Superior UK Managing Director, delivered a new Binz Mercedes hearse and two Binz limousines and more recently, in 2020, a stunning new Vito removal vehicle was delivered by Superior’s Jon Helm.

Jonathan commented, “They were all fantastic cars, the service was excellent, so professional and reliable – we felt very confident going back to Superior for our new fleet”.

When Jon Helm delivered the vehicles, Jonathan was delighted, “They have been very well received by staff and clients – we get a lot of positive comments when we take them out”, said Jonathan, “they make a striking impression without the LED lighting, but look incredible when they are lit up so we are looking forward to using this special feature in the darker winter months”.

As well as investing in a new fleet of vehicles, Jonathan has extended his first branch by purchasing the property next door, adding an extension and opening a bereavement centre. The bereavement centre supports the community with coffee mornings, bereavement counselling and annual coach trips for bereaved families.

Jon Helm commented, “Jonathan Terry and his colleagues truly care about the families they work with and it was a pleasure to deliver an exceptional fleet of new vehicles to an exceptional team of people”.
